Don't Know Beans About Blogging...

Hello, World!

This is my first attempt at blogging. In the realm of social networking, the world has become REALLY SMALL. We have instant communication with anyone around the world – as Apple, Inc. says about the iPhone – "the internet in your pocket." Some embrace it. There are others, like myself, who just seem to want to stay in the dark – oblivious to the goings-on of the world.

So, what will I blog about? Time will tell. Stay tuned as I...
spill the beans.

I can't wait to hear what you're going to say. Had any great coffee lately?

I enjoyed looking at your blog. I especially like the coffee theme. Where do you buy your single serve coffee pods? Do you have to use their brand in your machine? Just wondering. I'm still wanting an espresso machine for the house. That way I can make authentic mochas and lattes at home. I make them now by brewing my coffee really, really strong and go from there. But, an espresso machine would be better. What do you know about espresso machines?

Val,

Thanks for your comments. I buy my K-cups for my Keurig brewer directly from Keurig. With my membership, I receive 15% off and free shipping if I order 4 or more boxes of 25.

There are many brands and varieties of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate to choose from, but it does have to be the special "K-cup" design to run in the brewer. I also have an adapter that will take regular ground coffee, but I haven't used it yet.

If you like mochas and lattes an espresso machine might be nice, although I really don't know much about them. (Maybe someone else who makes espresso a lot can take that one...) I can get some "espresso quality" K-cups for my machine that will resemble espresso close enough for my taste if I need something that strong. I'll update my post to include a couple of links.

Check out the flavored coffees at the Keurig website also.

I just noticed that on the back of my Kohl's sales paper that Keurig coffeemakers are featured. Also, they show the reusable filter (14.99), and an 18 pack of K-Cups. (9.99) If you purchase $50 of product, shipping is free. Sale runs through the 27th. Enter promo code HOME50FREE to take advantage of free shipping. This may be no deal for you since you buy directly from Keurig. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
